Hey Cats!
Today we'll do work leading up to our ticket-out on the event that occurs in S-Phase: DNA Replication. Work hard and crush it! Learning Target: Scientists will be able to draw and label the characters in DNA synthesis for ticket-out #3. Upcoming: The events of G2 of the cell cycle If you missed class today: We did community additions on the DNA replication interactive (for points), completed another practice on DNA replication (sketching DNA synthesis), as well as took ticket-out #3.

Hey All!
Today we're going to practice what occurs in S-phase by going through a computer simulation. This SIM breaks the process of DNA replication down step-by-step. Follow the interactive and note catcher EXACTLY. Learning Target: Scientists will analyze the process of DNA synthesis in an interactive. Upcoming: Ticket-Out #2 on DNA synthesis this week (probably the end of block day or on Friday). If you missed class today: See me for the note catcher and then do the interactive at home. Hey Cats! Happy Friday all! We have shortened classes today and will crush an INPUT on what occurs during S-Phase: DNA REPLICATION. Let's do it. Learning Target: Scientists will be able to describe the "characters" that replicate DNA in S-Phase. Upcoming: Lots of hard stuff. If you missed class today: Watch amoeba sisters, see me for the note catcher, watch again and fill out. Hey Cats!
Today we have another mix of activities during today's block day. Here's the plan: 1) Turn-in DNA model (if I've not checked it) 2) Community Additions on DNA questions in packet 3) POGIL on DNA structure and function 4) Menti on DNA 5) Ticket out #2 on DNA Learning Target: Scientists will be able to describe the structure and function of DNA Upcoming: Ticket-out #2 on DNA today at the end of class today or upcoming this Friday If you missed class today: Sign up for seminar. You'll need to turn in DNA model and questions, do the POGIL and take ticket-out #2 on DNA. (That's a lot!) Hey All!
Today we're going to crush it and complete making out DNA. Once done, please do analysis questions in the packet. Learning Target: Scientists will be able to create a DNA model and analyze it. Upcoming: Ticket-out #2 on DNA structure and function If you missed class today: Complete your DNA project and answer questions in the packet. Each are being graded separately. Hey All!
Today we'll continue our work on making DNA. With that, your goal by the end of the block will be to have the DNA portion completed. Learning Target: Scientists will understand how DNA is assembled and create DNA. Upcoming: Ticket-Out #2 DNA is next week. If you missed class today: You need to finish making DNA. Hey Cats!
We've got a lot going on today so let's get into it! 1) Ticket-out #1 on the basics of the cell cycle.' 2) Input: Why DNA is Excellent (it's super short and we have a note catcher). 3) Practice: Building DNA Learning Target: Scientists will describe why DNA is excellent. Upcoming: None If you missed class today: We did a ticket-out, an input on DNA as well as started building DNA. You have A LOT to do to get caught up. See me for a Friday pass or arrange a time after school to get caught up. Hey Cats!
I heard you guys crushed it yesterday! Thanks for doing that. Today we'll do something called "community additions" on the reading from yesterday as well as start another practice on the cell cycle. Learning Target: Scientists will be able to identify details on the cell cycle. Upcoming: Ticket-out #1 on cell cycle is at the start of class tomorrow. If you missed class today: We turned in our Practice #1 on cell cycle (reading) as well as started another practice. Hey All,
Sorry I'm out today. Your mission is to do a short reading and answer questions on cell cycle. What you do not complete will be homework, but there's more than enough time to complete the work. Crush it! Learning Target: Scientists will identify details on the cell cycle. Upcoming: Ticket-Out #1 Wednesday on the cell cycle. If you missed class today: See me during class to get a reading. Happy Friday Cats!
It's been a great week back. It feels like we never left! Today we'll wrap up our POGIL on the Cell Cycle and prepare for another practice next week. Learning Target: Scientists will be able to name the steps of the cell cycle. Upcoming: Ticket-out #1 coming this Tuesday If you missed class today: Complete your POGIL and show it to me so I can give you points! |
