Hey Cats!
Today we'll wrap up our COL unit by doing test corrections over the exam. YOU ONLY NEED TO MAKE CORRECTIONS IF YOU SCORED A 41 OR BELOW! If you need to clean up other missing work in IC, do it! The grade book for this unit shuts down today at 3:45 PM. Hit the deadline. Learning Target: Scientists will do test corrections and address misconceptions that were made during the unit final. Upcoming: Flow of Matter and Energy unit starts this Monday. To do at home: None.

Hey All,
Today is the unit final exam. You've work hard for many weeks and now it's time to show-off! Learning Target: Scientists will be able to apply knowledge of chemistry of life topics to the unit final exam. Upcoming: Tests corrections this Friday 11/15 To do at home: None. Hey All,
Today and tomorrow we'll be preparing for our unit final exam for Chemistry of Life. You have several options to prepare. First, I would use the "topics for the test" and then identify those topics from the work we've done in the unit. You could also prepare for the test by going through the Quizzizz and then clicking "flash cards" at the end. We'll also re-take the ticket-out over parts of the cell. Let's do it. Learning Target: Scientists will prepare for the unit final exam. Upcoming: Unit test this block day. If you missed class today: Prepare for the unit final. Hey All,

Today is part 2 of the gummy bear lab. In this, we'll get the results to see if water went in/out of the bear's semi-permeable membrane for each of the experimental cups. Let's crush it. Learning Target: Scientists will be able to describe the explain the results of the gummy bear lab (describe osmosis in the experiment). Upcoming: Unit final exam block days next week. If you missed class today: See me. Hey All! Today we'll be diving deeper into our last topic: Cell Transport. A major topic of that is looking at how different molecules move across the cell membrane without any energy involved. Today and block day will be fun! Oh, and we have this Friday off! Learning Target: Scientists will be able to describe how water moves across the cell membrane. Upcoming: Chemistry of Life unit final exam block days next week. If you missed class today: See me during seminar for an alternate assignment. Hey All!
We have a busy day ahead and things are going to go FAST! It'll go something like this:
Learning Target: Scientists will be able to match the parts of a cell to its function. Upcoming: Chemistry of Life Unit Final 11/13-11/14 (next week's block days) If you missed class today: See me during seminar tomorrow! Hey All, Today we'll continue creating our PROJECT: CELL ANALOGY. Remember, they're due at the end of class this Friday. Oh, and let me know when you have the INPUT: PARTS OF A CELL (CELL CITY) completed so that I can give you credit for this! Let's crush it! Learning Target: Scientists will be able to describe and identify the parts of a cell in the project cell analogy. Upcoming: Project cell analogy due this Friday at the end of class. If you missed class today: Read above and then come visit me! Hey Guys,
Today is a busy week due to ASVAB testing. If you're testing, it'll be imperative that you visit the biocat website to keep up to speed with the cell analogy project. So today, if you haven't completed the INPUT: PARTS OF A CELL (CELL CITY) then you'll need to do that first. After completing that, your mission is to begin your PROJECT: CELL ANALOGY. Crush it.
If you're testing, it'll be imperative that you visit the biocat website for information on what we're doing this week. With that, today we'll do community additions on our cell membrane practice and glue it in our journals. We'll also start a new INPUT called CELL CITY: PARTS OF A CELL. If you missed class, you need to have this completed for what we'll be working on the rest of the week, which is the PROJECT CELL ANALOGY. This will be due on Friday and goes in the UNIT TESTS/PROJECTS bin of the grade book. If you want to improve your grade in this class, this week will be BIG. Learning Target: Scientists will be able to describe and identify the parts of a cell. Upcoming: Project cell analogy due this Friday at the end of class. If you missed class today: Read above and then come visit me! |
