Hey All,
Happy Friday and early Thanksgiving! Today we'll take our Movement of Matter and Energy Ticket-Out #1. Please take five minutes to dive into your journals to review your learning and we'll begin. Learning Target: Scientists will be able to describe how matter and energy flow through ecosystems and individuals in an ecosystem. Upcoming: NINE DAYS OFF! If you missed class today: Sign-up for seminar next week to take Ticket-Out #1.

Hey Cats!
First, let's turn in our practice on cycles and flows of matter in Yellowstone. Next, we'll do a lab (practice) that deals with following carbon in plants and animals. This directly will deal with actions inside the cell in the rest of the unit. Learning Target: Scientists will be able to describe what goes in-out of a plant and animal cell. Upcoming: Ticket-out #1 this Friday and Thanksgiving break ALL next week. If you missed class: See me during seminar. Hey All!
Today we're going to complete our INPUT: RETURN TO YELLOWSTONE and then do PRACTICE: CYCLES AND FLOWS IN YELLOWSTONE. In this, you'll analyze biological relationships between organisms and then sketch a carbon cycle and include all relationships in your drawing. It should be a fun day. Learning Target: Scientists will analyze the flows of matter and energy in biological relationships and then create a drawing. Upcoming: Ticket-Out #1 this Friday If you missed class today: See me to get the practice. Hey All!
Today we start a new unit and with that, we'll return to Yellowstone, but not in the way you might think. We're going to return to Yellowstone to look at how energy and matter flow through the environment and then look at how that occurs within the organisms. Learning Target: Scientists will be able to sketch and label how energy and matter flows through the individuals in an ecosystem. Upcoming: Ticket-Out #1 this Friday and Thanksgiving break all next week! If you missed class today: Follow the steps in the slideshow to create a new entry in your journal titled "Return to Yellowstone: A look at the cycle of matter and energy" |
